Elmwood Cemetery is a Level III arboretum, which means on the property visitors will find 90 different species of trees, many of which are tagged and identified. Several times a year, Elmwood staff offers a Tree Tour of the grounds, as well.

The trees that grace our landscape offer beauty, shade for visitors, and homes for birds, and sometimes, bees. We encourage you to add to the collection by purchasing a tree to be planted late this year.

Trees are sourced locally and will not be accepted from private collections. To plant a tree, please contact Kim Bearden at kim@elmwoodcemetery.org.

Elmwood Cemetery does not allow memorial plaques to be attached to young trees.

The deadline to order trees for planting at Elmwood is December 30th, 2021. All trees ordered past this date will be included in the winter 2022 plantings.
