Tour Maps and Booklets

Tour maps of the cemetery are available for sale in the office for $5. They include some history of the cemetery, explanations of many common Victorian symbols, and a little history on 63 notable people buried in Elmwood.

Elmwood is the final resting place for more than 1,000 Confederate soldiers, officers and generals. Visit some of the most interesting soldiers, spies and ordinary citizens who played a part in the War between the States. The Civil War tour booklet costs $10.

Occasionally we’re asked if Elvis is buried at Elmwood, but as true fans of Elvis know, he was once buried at another historic cemetery, Forest Hill, in Midtown Memphis, in a mausoleum. He was later moved to Graceland, where he and his family rest today. But that doesn’t mean that Elmwood isn’t connected to the King of rock ‘n’ roll! We’ve put together this guide of Elvis Connections so that you can learn some history that’s not always shared. This booklet can be purchased for $15.
